Recommended Posts

Primary Shotguns (with the exception to the Phage) received buffs back in Update 17, and now we bring that same attention to Secondary Shotguns!

Loving the Lato's status increase from 1% to 3%! It'll definitely change the way the weapon is used for beginners and veterans alike!

 

But seriously, these changes look amazing. Looking forward to playtesting them!

My biggest question here is... when will we non-founder peasants have a lato version able to compete with the just buffed lato prime? 

There's no way a 30 damage, 10% crit chance and 3% status chance starter weapon can be taken to similar levels than it's never available again primed version with 37 damage, 30% crit chance and 20% status can be taken now.

daikyu and opticor changes look good! thank you for the changes, stuff like disintegrating enemies, thicker laser beam, daikyu giving enemy knock back is so awesome!

with stradavar, i think the changes are in the wrong place. hip fire accuracy should be reverted, and the new semi auto mode aiming accuracy should be kept. and also increase crit chance for semi auto mode. this would make semi auto mode actually useful

Apparently they plan on re-releasing the Lato Vandal at some point. Maybe.

Detron Mara, Twin Rogga, Opticor, PYRANA, Sicarus Prime are weapons that I use a lot and I'm really happy they've gotten buffed. The Daikyu and Akbronco Prime are weapons I've been meaning to use, and I'm glad they'll be better now.

it's been almost a year since Steve talked about it on Prime Time, yet they still can't figure out a way to reintroduce it. 

Also, what's the point of increasing it's MR requirement?

Most founders are either inactive or over the MR requirement that has been set, however MR Lock of primed weapons can be bypassed by buying them with money, which was the only way to get lato prime anyways ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Stradavar aiming seems to be bugged. sometimes hip firing full auto will have no recoil

...uummmmm.

Yeah, can you unbuff them? almost all these things have low clips so you need to reload after pretty much every kill and now you want to mess up their damage distance? On top of having mods that add spread for more damage, these things are being turned into Infested-only weapons.

So, the big takeaway:
* All shotgun secondaries now have damage falloff.
* All shotgun secondaries have varying max falloff rates, and it's not capped at the 50% Scott talked about prior to the shotgun rework.

And no changes to their spread. :s

(On the bright side, my AkBronco P looks like it might start being able to kill stuff I'm not hugging, now.)

and time to rebuild my Detron and trash the Mara.

Unless renamed (still patching), the dual-Furis is called Afuris, not Akfuris.

Finally my Opticor can pretend to be on par with the dinky little laserpointer-on-a-stick that so comprehensively exceeds it.
