  1. more like "terrible idea, worse execution". I use all frames from time to time, I pride myself on being able to do any mission with any loadout, however there are a few that I don't enjoy playing as much at all and very rarely bother to use: Yareli: for reasons mentioned above, + being tied to ventcringe, her animations and her visuals. even her lore is bad, despite the fact she actually GOT lore, more than can be said for Baruuk, Garuda etc. Octavia: I'd take her over Yareli any day but god she's boring.. a better example of cool idea, terrible execution. she came with fun weapons though. Inaros: also dreadfully boring, here's hoping Pablo's "non-drastic" rework will be enough to make him somewhat enjoyable. Trinity: Link-Tanking is fine, and as a dedicated support frame she's bound to be a less useful pick for solo, but here's a frame that for me does the same thign as Inaros; act as a durable gun platform. Caliban: I really want to like Caliban, because his theme is cool, and I think he has potential.. but he's just so mid.. I know that if he got some tweaks he'd be great. otherwise, everybody else sees missions at some point.
  2. agree with the first 3, but no to the price rises. doesn't matter how you try to dress it up, nobody wants to pay more for anything, and with enough outlets for Riven Slivers you wouldn't need to raise prices anyway.
  3. those who have everything are the minority, so it only makes sense DE will cater to others more readily. I don't have any Familial bonds and Ticker almost never sells them, so I gotta run T5 bounties constantly and hope I get lucky if I want the colour palette. ironic considering their announcement to reduce the Fortuna grind, I hope part of it will be giving Ticker all bonds available at all times to make it easier for everyone.
  4. hi, I don't suppose there might be a fix for the Protosomid Shoulder guard being invisible on PlayStation? myself and a few others have encountered this, and there are multiple reports of it on the forums. apparently it's been like this a while too. thanks as always, looking forward to the February fixes!
  5. It's a thing because people lack self control, especially when sginy things are dangled in front of them. Many People, including yourself perhaps, woul get everything ASAP and then complain there's nothing to do. I've seen people do this plenty of times over the years even WITH the caps in place, and you wanna remove them? Lol. Standing caps are a ncessary evil, like it or not they arent going anywhere.
  6. If you want to kill bad mustache man, you'll like Sniper Elite, pretty much every entry in the series lets you kill him in fun and creative ways.. But he has no place in warframe, especially if theres truth to theory tha Warframe's universe has a totally different history and culture from our own. Even in 1999, many signs had a version of Orokin Script on them, so there might never have been any world wars, and if there was, the key figures would be different people entirely
  7. If he does get nerfed it won't surprise me, but several frames like Hildryn, Styanax etc are also pretty good at not dying, and it sedms to me that nigh immortality is intentional, or at least not worth a nerf on it's own. Its abilities snd interactions that fight for you that DE are iffy about and revenant doesn't really have that: -Enthalled enemies are susceptible to friendly fire and don't help any more than Nekros' shadows do. They arent scaled up by the player in terms of damge so they can't clear the room for you, they're just for drawing agro. -Mesmer Skin is a great ability, especially with the Augment, but YOU still have to do all the shooting and stabbing. Again, he isn't the only frame that's unkillable in most content, though I think its also worth pointing out that DE may consider countering these abilities with deactivations on being hit, like we saw with the 60 eye boss, who folded many an optimistic Revenant main lol. - Reave needs a buff if anything, and is healing all that useful on him when Mesmer Skin exists? I hvent subsumed on ny Revenant but i'm guessing either this or his 4 is what gets scrapped. - Danse Macabre can be fun, but unless you do a stupidly niche meme build, it falls off on Steel Path, or even before that. Some people probably don't even know it has 2 modes.. All in all, I think he's powerful, but doesnt seem to break the game or intrude on others, so he'll probably be left as is, but if he does get a nerf it'll be to Mesmer Skin, 100%
  8. nope, it's over, you have betrayed the speedy boi and joined the fairies. shame on you and your house, you filthy heretic :P yeah, it's the main problem with her kit, though Lantern is kinda Meh as well. I feel like a decent augment for them would be enough to encourage some (but not all) Titania users to build for something other than Razorwing. it'd also be easy enough for DE to do, certainly easier than reworking her, which won't happen due to her being very popular. if you're gonna be in Razorwing 99.9% of the time, it doesn't really matter. I suppose you could just bring weapons that are good for priming that will complement the build on your Dex Pixia, to really max out your DPS, but beyond that, take whatever you feel like in the moment.
  9. I've wanted Arch-melees to be an optional alternative to Heavy Archguns for a long time, but the fact is that Arch-melees are hot garbage in their current state: they have only the most basic of mods, no stances, no Arcanes, no Exilus.. nothing. they need a serious rework to buff all their stats, and better mods. only after we get ALL those, would it be worth it. strange considering that they could probably get away with one or two stances for all arch melees (Kazsas could get away with Heavy Scythe stances though), Gravimags exist as an in-universe explanation already, and it's not like oversized fantasy swords would be a hard sell to this community: look how happy people were when the Zenistar bugged out with that one skin that made it HUGE and DE decided to leave it in. being able to equip them on a mech, especially Bonewidow, would be nice but again, not until we get proper buffs, mods, etc. for them, if we ever do.
  10. at this point, I've given up on that thing. same with Phorid, Nef Anyo and Vay Hek. DE would literally rather do anything else than rework them.
  11. I disagree about K-drives and archwing, but that's neither here or there, we all have different tastes at the end of the day. I'm sorry to hear you don't like the mechs, but they definitely aren't trash, (at least Voidrig isn't. Bonewidow could definitely use some tweaks though), while they do move slower they are desihned to be durable and good at bringing firepower, and when properly modded they do. The grind to get them was reduced and is not as bad as you might think. Parts are also tradeable IIRC so all you need to get yourself is the deimos resources for the crafting. If that's still not to your liking, well.. It's the way DE wants it to be and they likely won't change it, so i guess your options are to farm for the mech, buy a mech or quit warframe. If you do decide to farm then good luck with your drops, and if you leave, then i hope you find a game more to your liking.
  12. the strange thing is that for whatever reason, Reb and the team focused entirely on trying to make the legendary Arcanes more accessible, which is fine.. but they aren't removing the common, purchasable Arcanes from the drop table, which is the one thing that like 90% of people running Netracells (myself included) actually want, and it's not like we haven't talked about it enough for them to notice, there must have been dozens upon dozens of posts about it since WitW dropped. if there's a legitimate reason they can't change it, then they should say so. yeah, people may not like it, but honesty is the best policy, and I'd have a lot more respect for DE on this if they came out and said it, rather than trying to hide the truth and side-step it all the time. have you got Hildryn or Revenant? if all else fails, take a frame that won't die, find a terminal and call your Necramech ASAP, Voidrig's 4 will clear the kill zone, even if the rest of your gear won't.
  13. yes, I suppose giving people a loaned mech would've been nice, but sometimes the opportunity to monetize or make players grind just gets too heavy for them.. still, kudos for finishing the quest, not everybody makes it. it is a pretty good bow, arguably the best thing you get from that quest (besides a certain Villain's death.). you might also like the Grimoire when you do Whispers in the Walls. Nightwaves last for several months usually, and with the catchup mechanics you should be able to reach 30, especially if you skip as few acts as possible. at an educated guess, I'd say you've probably another 2-3 months before you're in any danger of losing out, and there's always the chance it could get extended if DE haven't finished the next season yet. many of the acts were "nerfed" so they are easier to do as well, and some of the worst ones were removed entirely. you should've seen it before it got nerfed.. but it's still great, especially the Kuva version. as of the last few updates just about every new weapon has a gimmick and/or is a signature for a warframe, granting a special bonus if you match the frame and their weapon. I highly recommend the Rauta if you like melee, and the Incarnon Adapters offered by Steel Path Circuit will add unique new modes to some of your existing weapons: the next 2 weapons we'll get have incarnon forms as well, and there are supposed to be more adapters for existing weapons coming as well. frankly, we don't really get boring weapons anymore, they all do something good lol. one of the better game modes: simple, hard to fail, and plenty of spawns. though, I'm curious how the Gruzzler will change that (if you know, you know) personally I prefer OG stalker, he was more of a challenge, but it's not just him anymore: you'll eventually have to deal with his Acolytes. if you liked the team up with him, you might see him again in a certain game mode.. a while before Whispers in The Walls dropped, I (somewhat foolishly) agreed to help a few newbies get these exact materials.. I forgot how bad the drop rates could be. thank god for boosters. the drop rates could still be better. I wouldn't bet on any changes to Argon though, it's basically the only reason the Void tileset still exists. yeah, the focus changes helped me a lot too. I wasn't actively grinding for it at first since I prefer to do everything with my warframe and weapons, so when focus abilities were changed and became really strong it took a lot longer for me to rank up my focus trees than for many others, now thanks to the changes, I'm almost done with Unairu, then onto Vazarin, and then I'll have all trees done. if only it had been like this from the start!
  14. I see what you did there. Vergil approves: to be honest, I don't have any clue where DE wants to go with regards to exalted weapons: right now it IS possible to build them to be good-ish, but they are still less effective than regular melees and they also drain your energy, which regular melees don't ofc. therein lies the issue; if a melee wants to take energy over time, then it needs to be worth the energy cost, because that energy is for other abilities too. sure, we can subsume War Cry, Wrathful Advance etc. but those are still band-aid fixes, not something that addresses the root cause of the issue. my ideal version of exalted melees would be something akin to supers from destiny: they'd be short lived and costly, but the damage would be nuts. like, Arquebex crit levels of insanely high, they could be as gloriously broken strong as possible, at the cost of possibly running out of energy, though given the current energy economy with Energize/Zenurik, I don't think it'd be a major headache now like it would've been, had it been implemented in the past. to bring it back to DMC briefly, you could think of this mode as a "Devil Trigger", but obviously the name would be different. Tennokai Unleashed? I dunno, DE would think of something. the downside is you wouldn't be able to spam exalted blade for an entire mission anymore, but you would be able to cut down anyone at the right moment, by knowing when to use regular melee and when to get serious bring out the exalted melee. I know not everybody will agree with me on this one, and that's absolutely fine, but I think it's the best solution if you just.. need... more... POWER!
  15. I'm currently imagining your Gauss in a public game, being taunted by a Titania with an annoyingly high pitched voice, calling you "slowpoke" and "Tortoise" all the time as she speeds on ahead.. and you're just praying she crashes into a Shield like a bug on a windscreen! making sprinting for ALL frames mandatory would be nice, and an augment for Gauss where Redline no longer has duration but drains energy over time instead. if DE thinks that's too much, he could be given the Gyre treatment instead, where the duration of Redline refreshes based on enemies affected by his other abilities (maybe not Thermal Sunder though, we got plenty of that spam as it is.) IMO it should be tied to Mach Rush: running for long periods or knocking enemies away starts adding extra seconds to Redline. this encourages players to never. EVER stop zooming, which is the true way to play Gauss IMO. and to put the icing on the cake. the perfect name for the Augment: Overclocked!
  16. I hope and pray we get a really short, small Warframe one day, just so I can see the inevitable "Dwarframe" jokes. abilities? don't care. visuals? whatever you like as long as it's small. it'd probably also cause some controversy ("but I don't want to be this small in my power fantasy" threads), and I'd be loving EVERY minute of it! in reality though, it's not likely because it'd mean more work with regards to animations, hitboxes, reaction to level geometry etc... afraid you're just gonna have to settle for "artificial" height in the form of taller headpieces, high heels etc.
  17. no to an augment mod slot, but there's no denying that many augments are kinda trash, when IMO they should either offer: a genuine upgrade to an existing ability, e.g. Blazing Pillage or an Alternate version of the ability, loosely based on existing kit, e.g. Rumbled (only not trash) sadly there are so many augments in the game now that it's becoming unreasonable to expect DE to go back and look at ALL of them, when it's way easier for them to just start adding new augments instead and make them viable from the start. we're supposed to be getting 10(!) pretty soon, and sadly, it's almost certain one or two of them won't be top-tier, so they, like many older augments, will be forgotten quickly.
  18. I think you're gonna like post New War content even more, the Whispers in The Walls content is where it's at right now, one of the best updates we've ever had IMO. personally I felt New War was slightly rushed towards the end and I'm always gonna be a bit bummed that we didn't get a Narmer starmap, but it still had some pretty great moments.
  19. only the Corpus would make such a thing, and they prefer to hoard money, not spend it. as for throwing rocks, I dunno about that exactly, but I suppose the Grineer or Corpus could make a "throwing Weight" weapon, like a Shot Put, but actually intended to be thrown at people. or a corpus self defense weapon that throws concussive grenades that are a *bit* more powerful than their non-lethal packaging implies..
  20. oh thank god, I'm not going crazy (or at least, any MORE crazy) I swear this bug has been around a while but until now nobody else has acknowledged it, and it's STILL happening to me now. basically all my Infested Fashion loadouts are borked until this is fixed. I was gonna make a post on it but hopefully updating this one will have the same effect. please fix it DE, my Nidus and Saryn Drip depend on it!
  21. I'm fairly certain that they rerun all the old cosmetics along with the new ones every time they run QTCC, so just wait until QTCC 2024 and you'll get your chance.
  22. lol, Exergis Vandal or Tenet Exergis could be just as good, and in-keeping with how our weapons are named. Tenet version would be more of a grind but it'd likely be ludicrously strong. they could give it a burst alt fire like the ones the Vapos Crewmen use, that'd be neat IMO.
  23. DE said they consider Dante Unbound to be the echoes update for WiTW. chances are we moving on to something totally new after that. plus "echoes in the Walls" or "echoes of whispers", would've just sounded dumb IMO lol. on topic, I think it'll be Protea: the two newest frames, Qorvex and the upcoming Dante are both male, and we also just had two male primes with Grendel and Gauss, so we're kind of overdue for a female frame of some kind, and Protea Prime would be nice. Velox Prime is a given, because it's her signature, but as for whether she'd come with a second Prime weapon or a Prime Sentinel, who knows? maybe she'll come with Daikyu Prime, right @Skoomaseller? after that, it'll be Xaku Prime, Quassus prime, and whatever else he comes with.
  24. I still don't get why DE don't just throw all the previous seasonal cosmetics into the credit shop: not only would it solve the timegate issue and give credits even more value, it would also free up a lot more slots for new cosmetics and evergreen items: people get the items they missed out on, and the most dedicated Nightwave followers get more new items instead of repeats: it's a win-win, and an easy one at that. it's currently bugged: it appears invisible when equipped, at least for me. normally it'd be an integral part of my Infested fashion loadouts, but right now it's literally unusable. dunno if anyone else has the same issues?
  25. I can't remember the exact % but I built mine for Duration first, then strength, slapped on Vitality and then the remaining 3 mod slots were for sprint speed, because it's speedy Boi prime, I'm not gonna NOT make him run faster than all my other frames (excluding Volt I guess.).
