  1. If we were talking about a PvP shooter, then I might take this seriously. But we aren't. We're talking about a PvE horde shooter. In fact, even if we were talking about PvP, there are plenty of cases over the years where weapons that are clearly modeled to be semi-automatic are functionally fully automatic in the game in the name of balance or ease of use. The oldest example I can think of is TF2 where Valve changed the function of the pistol specifically to address an unfair advantage of people using scripts (which can't easily be blocked or monitored) to get the pistols to fire faster than your typical player could click. The change they made was that it now fired continuously while you held down the button, but at a slower maximum rate. By doing so people who knew how to edit their bindings in advanced ways no longer had an advantage over those who didn't. Semi auto and burst weapons will still have their place even if they are functionally automatic as far as the player is concerned. Lower rates of fire with higher per shot damage.
  2. I hadn't heard of this, but I love it already. Room over room isn't that common to be an issue in my opinion, but there are plenty of rooms where the radar couldn't pickup things all the way at the top, or bottom. Sometimes both at the same time if it's particularly tall and you're in the middle somewhere.
  3. You're considering dropping the game because a number entirely irrelevant to any actual gameplay may not be accurate. Honestly? I'd say drop the game. I'm not trying to be rude or mocking, but if your ultimate goal is to make number go up, you should find a game that's more designed for that. Warframe is a game about blowing away hordes of enemies with absurd powers and weapons. The total kill count on the stats screen? I suspect exceedingly few people care even half as much as you do. The fact that number goes up on the stats screen isn't even secondary, tertiary, or even quaternary to the game. You're going to stress yourself out over it, and ultimately have a bad time. I honestly suggest either forgetting that it's there and have fun with shooting the enemies, or find a game that is more geared to making number go up and have fun with that.

  5. There's basically no amount of testing that DE can do to catch things like this. Especially with the level of customization players have at their disposal. Players (and really public users in general) will always find ways to exploit a system in ways the developers couldn't dream of catching ahead of time. They have a few hundred employees, the player base is a few hundred thousand players. It's a war of numbers, and they're vastly outmatched.
  6. If it happens again, try using /unstuck in the chat to teleport you back to a hopefully good position.
  7. Bird-3 appears to have a habit of crashing the PS5 version in a fairly serious way. Each time I've approached him, things have been find right up until he says "I hope you're having a lurve-ly day." at which point the game freezes, sound cuts out a moment later, and the entire PS5 is unresponsive for I think around 30 seconds at which point the PS5 OS kills the game and throws up the error dialog. Of course now that I'm trying to do an extra confirmation on it, the game is just crashing the moment I enter the Sanctum.
  8. If you know how RNG works then you know that it's possible to roll a thousand times, and not succeed in your 10% chance. Also I'd love to know what you think a true 10% chance would actually be.
  9. This doesn't really give them any reason to do anything about retired or unobtainable entries. They're not spawning, which means you're not fighting them, which means the fact that you can't get any bonus against them is irrelevant.
  10. That's a simple fix, proceed past War Within as normal, then go to suit. Also correct me if I'm wrong, but the person who downs the larvaling need not be the one to stab it, correct? If so, a friend helps (unless it's been established that joining groups is not possible) and have someone else do the downing while suit does the finisher (unless suit can't do finishers either).
  11. It does, (at least it did an eternity ago when I tried) but I was going with the assumption that most don't run their console with keyboard.
  12. It does, but because we don't have a dedicated chat button we have to open the menu first. Otherwise it works just the same. Hold L1/LB to go to void mode, press Options/Start to open the menu, release L1/LB, open chat.

  14. Because of this thread I tried out Duplex Bond on my kubrow. It works even while playing Titania in pixie form. I can finally have my pet, and fly around as a tiny pixie! Yay!
  15. It holds up to 6 scents that it can release, the scents are premade generic things. It tries to guess what it should release based on what it sees (HDMI passthrough, assuming an unencrypted signal), or hears (audio passthrough). Assuming that it can even make good guesses, you will need to have one slot filled with the "neutralizer" (which I doubt even works all that well), otherwise you're just going to end up with all the scents lingering at the same time and it'll be awful. Even if it does work, it'll be awful as half the smells aren't things you're going to want to smell nearly as much as you're going to smell them.
  16. Regardless of if that's a real product or not, including scents with other media has been tried before. It NEVER ends well.
  17. Half of it sounds like you just get auto resupplied by consumables when you run low, and the other half sounds like it just uses consumables to increase how much you get from normal pickups. You also can't pickup energy/health/ammo from the environment for most of them except for "on pickup" effects like extra armor. All of it sounds quite questionable on several levels.
  18. I equip a weapon with an arcane on a loadout. I equip the weapon on a second loadout. I change the arcane. I equip the weapon to a third loadout. Which arcane do I get? I change the weapon to config B. Does that change the arcane? I switch weapons. Does the arcane switch? I unequip the weapon. Now what? The problem with what you're suggesting is that it introduces a whole host of random complications for little to nothing. Suddenly arcanes are no longer linked in a way that makes sense, but instead to something completely random.
  19. So, we don't know that this was the result of being an iOS thing? It could have just been a Switch player on a spotty wifi? I mean, if this topic is about encountering the horrors of an iOS host, shouldn't we know that it was an iOS host, and not just someone on a different platform with a crap connection?
  20. Out of curiosity, what special icon do they get that lets you know that they're on iOS?

To echo others, yes, individual extraction would be very nice for the endless missions because that had become the standard, but also public groups are not generally the place to be searching out personal objectives. Especially special mission types that issue special rewards only on completion. If you really want to explore the map past the objective for voca and scans, do it in the normal version or at least solo. I know I'm not gonna want to hang around when some random guy wants to search the map for things I already have. I went in for the end of mission rewards that can only be obtained from this specific mission. You're searching for things that can be found in literally any mission in this location. In fact, the point about not wanting to mess with the netracell spawns shows that you're at least aware of the fact that what you're doing is potentially disruptive, but consider that it also sounds like you want the rewards of the netracell without doing any of the work. Not cool. Definitely go search for vocas on your own, and come back to the netracells when you're ready to actually contribute to the objective.
  23. Yep. Users with horribly outdated PCs. Users with awful connections. Users who are just awful themselves. All the "problems" that mobile users will "introduce" are things the playerbase already experiences. I'm on PS5, generally most of the loading screens I see are waiting for other users. Before mobile was even introduced there were times I'd try to join a game, wait for an eternity, and then either get dumped due to lost connection or join into a game that's so laggy doors don't even work.
