Entity--
yes,it is.Later in the game it will be quite easy to earn platinum by selling some of your items, and most warframes can be obtained from missions(or primes from relics if they are not vaulted).
(XBOX)Tanta Cinta
Yes, it is possible. You have all of the boss ones to farm, some from quests, and some from doing certain mission types. Cewl_Cat
Thanks I was worried I'd have to spend money to get those.
GnarlsDarkley
Like already said: yes every non prime Frame can be earned anytime without platinum Primed frames can be earned w/o plat as well, but you will need to wait until they are unvaulted and grind hard while their unvaulting
WhiteMarker
The only thing that requires platinum (from buying it or from trades) are Warframe Slots. You get a few Slots from Nightwaves, but not quickly enough.
Talinthis
Not only can you get all prime and non prime variants without buying platinum, you can get all frames without spending any platinum at all period.
mcdoo
Yes and No. No if you dont want to keep all the Frames. Yes if you want to keep all the frames as you have to buy slots for storage.
Aldain
Trading for 20 Plat at a time is very easy; mods, prime parts, ayatans, its easy to scrape together some scratch for a slot for each Warframe.
Mr.SpookSpook
No, you will not be getting Excalibur Prime. Not even by buying plat. All the others, yes.
BrenBlaze
Non Primes: Yes, they are obtained usually from bosses on each planet or a quest, with a few exceptions Non Vaulted Primes: Yes, they are obtained through relics, which are a mission reward that gives special drops when unlocked in a void fissure mission Vaulted Primes: Same as above except the relics that drop the parts for the Vaulted Prime frames will not CURRENTLY drop as a mission reward. This periodically changes with some Vaulted Frames becoming temporarily unvaulted, which means their relics will be a mission reward again. Acersecomic
The only weapon/frame I bought is Hema weapon. I am borderling on MR27. EVERYTHING CAN BE EARNED INGAME except for prime cosmetics.

But, then again, many cosmetics have Earn-only variants, some of which actually look better, so there's that.
FlyingDice
You can acquire all non-prime frames and all non-vaulted prime frames without ever touching plat. You'll need plat to buy warframe slots and vaulted primes, but you can earn plat by farming and trading items to other players fairly trivially. Genesix6
Yes, unless you sell Warframe BP that can only be get one time, you will need to buy them with plat Some of the frames can be aquired one time due to their BP. Such as harrow, you can only build 1 harrow, but you can't get another one because there was only 1 BP, and that BP can be get 1 time after doing his quest. Valiant
As people have said, yes, unless you want things quickly. As much as me getting quick access to a few of the frames was nice (no regrets for Nyx though, she was absolutely great back in the day), I wish I didn't waste my platinum in the early days of joining the game
(PSN)Lollybomb
This is one of the nice things about Warframe compared to a lot of other free to play games. If a non-cosmetic item is available, it's available to everyone with enough in game work. There is nothing that actually affects gameplay that can only be obtained through real money transactions. Guest
If you do buy Plat dont do unless you get a 75% coupon. It just isn't worth the price they're asking.
