Spray and pray or explosive guns are generally better than bows and other precise weapons. Most Warframes have very loud and flashy powers. Kaotyke Posted April 20, 2017 Share Posted April 20, 2017 Ninja were mercenaries specialized in stealth and guerrilha warframe, attacking weak points and then leaving. We dont fight ARMIES, we do sirurgical strikes: Exterminate this platoon, Sabotage this ship, Survive and distract, Hijack this thing and steal it. Ninjas were not ONLY about stealth. ThorienKELL Posted April 20, 2017 Share Posted April 20, 2017 Original idea was that, maybe not ninjas but high tech mech warriors of future, if you take closer look you'll see that most of frames are inspired by some pop culture reference, we have gunslinger, egyptian theme, medieval swordsman, scaramouche, cocaktrice, magneto, elementalists, stone based ... and looks and visual theme is often inspired by animals. Being a "ninja" isn't about dressing up as a "ninja" (unless you're into that stuff) but more like acting and doing "ninja" like stuff. We still do parkour and use a variety of swords and other "ninja" like stuff. Warframe isn't like other MMO's where you just stick to one class, but more like all the classes have a main catagory in being a ninja and a subclass of whatever else they want to be, like a priest-ninja or a ice mage-ninja. (PSN)robotwars7 Posted April 20, 2017 Share Posted April 20, 2017 people really read a bit too far into the "ninjas play free" motto, don't they? it's simply a marketing term, drawing a loose comparison of us to ninjas, which mostly comes from the Tenno's use of Parkour, mastery of martial arts and our covert methods of operation (one unit infiltrating to perform an objective then escaping). compared to your standard jarheads in any FPS, we're definitely more like ninjas, but Warframe never was or will be a game solely about ninjas. I'd advise Nioh or Ninja Gaiden if that's your taste. it also stems from the most appropriate Idiomatic way to describe a Tenno to those who don't understand the game: a "Space Ninja", what is a Tenno to us? a Tenno is a loyal warrior of the Lotus that uses the Warframes to enhance their void powers and become the ultimate soldiers, masters of all forms of Warfare. what is a Tenno to someone who's never heard of Warframe before? a space Ninja, because we're sort of like Ninjas, and we're in space, and we have magical powers: magical space ninjas. I think it should be changed though.. to "Ninjas play free at first, but then you accidentally spend your starting plat on cosmetics when you should have bought weapon and Warframe slots and now you need to pay for things". then again, that seems like a bit of a mouthful, doesn't it?
