ChatNinja
Aren't Dax just soldiers and guards? If that is true then the Stalker codex entry should tell you who would win.
midtarget
I would say that the Dax and Tenno are almost equal in canon, but Tenno are more durable and faster, so maybe 10 or so Dax can fight 1 Tenno at max power, and maybe 2-3 Dax against a Tenno if they can't use void powers. The fact that the Orokin were horribly losing their war when they were using only the Dax, and the fact that as soon as the Warframes were developed the Orokin were just enthusiastically turning the Dax into Warframes? Doesn't sound like "almost equal".
rand0mname
It may depend on what kind of Dax we talk about. They seemed to have ranks. The ones with the bigger hats could be the tougthest nuts to crack. Isaah would not stand a chance. His Dad? Weeeell... He is another story. Also, Titania says hi! It took what, a battalion of Dax to bring her down? And there have been no survivors. Sacrifice heavy spoiler: Спойлер Also, don't forget that some Dax were "upgraded" to become Warframes and their skill with weapons comes from their training it seems. Do they count? (PSN)DeerGodWrath
Well, it was, canontically, pretty difficult to defeat Teshin. However, that being said, I think it differs per Dax. One Dax in the Guardsmen Synthesis Data is easily overpowered by ten grineer.

The question was if a Dex soldier could beat a WARFRAME in combat. Bringing the Tenno into the equation is nothing more than a red herring. A warframe is durable enough for void energies to be channeled through them. These energies are powerful enough to accidentally kill creatures, let alone when used deliberately in combat. When limiting the contest to one of skill at arms, most Dax would stand a fair chance in their fight against a warframe; there are weapons aplenty that are easily capable of damaging and destroying warframes. But Dax soldiers tire, warframes do not. A Dax would need to win quickly it they're to win at all, otherwise they would tire and any error would be capitalized on. It was this endurance and durability that made the warframes a viable and powerful tool against the Sentients, but before even them, there were still Orokin victories where the only Orokin combatants were Dax. The Tenno's void energies flowing through their warframes raise them orders of magnitude above what was previously possible, and changed the war from a steady loss for the Orokin, to one where victory could be grasped. Loza03
With void powers available? Some Tenno literally tear reality apart on a daily basis. Others strike their foes down to their very souls. Yet others are truly unkillable. Swords and Guns do not come close to that kind of power. In a straight fight, I'd have to go Tenno as well, mostly due to other advantages. Warframes are inhumanly strong, fast and agile,, giving them the advantage over human muscle and nerves. Whilst somewhat lacking in durability compared to other groups, they can examine a situation to attack more easily. A Tenno can move their eyes to produce a strategy, and have it be unseen by the Dax, allowing them to plan more effectively. Or they can identify a weak point in the enemy guard without worrying about their foe identifying the weakness themselves by following their gaze. Warframes do not tire, do not tremble and do not have traditional weak points. They have some sure, but a 'below the belt' attack wouldn't work since there probably isn't anything there anymore, and strikes at major vein locations doesn't matter when those veins have most likely moved or don't exist.. In terms of training, the Tenno have an element of combat experience that should not be taken for granted - they have learned from even the most lethal mistakes. The Warframe died, yes, but the Tenno lived and learned from the experience. Though the Dax have more years of service, that particular experience - the experience of taking a lethal blow and surviving to learn what caused it - cannot be underplayed. Plus, the Tenno were trained from the ground up as front-line and guerilla troops when they were children, whereas many Dax, even Teshin were retrained as soldiers when they were older (having previously been Guards). A young mind learns faster and better than an old one, especially when learning it fresh. Tenno have much higher quality experience, and likely absorbed their training better. The Tenno beat out the Dax.

Ballas said they took their finest, so the originals (Aka, Primes) were probably dax at least. Although I personally believe the caster frames were Achemidians/Lorists since, well, they're not physical fighters, they're void magic users. Autongnosis
Teshin is supposedly a higher caste Dax and we beat him with just a sword without using our Void powers. Also, remember that when the Tennos exterminated the Orokin Dax were still a thing and they couldn't do S#&$ to save their masters. To be honest from what I've gathered from the lore a Dax is a superhuman, while a Warframe is beyond what any biological being can do.

Teshin gave us chances and clearly had the upper hand, its like a Batman story, the villian just simply left open an opportunity, intentionally. After our Tenno gettin new powers, no. Warframe without Tenno physical intervention, maybe not. Edited July 22, 2018 by (XB1)Evilpricetag
