(PSN)watt4hem
Clearly, DE stole the name from carl orff's o fortuna /s
Loza03
Fortuna's used for a lot of places. Including Devil May Cry. And it's a city there too. So clearly they ripped it off from there (the actual place is called the Orb Vallis, only the city is called Fortuna.)
-QUILL_PETER-
Clearly DE ripped it off from Star Wars' Bib Fortuna. Obviously. Smh.
Nitro747
ACHTHUALLY Fortuna is the name of the city. Orb Valis is the name of the open world map
SneakyErvin
They named it Fortuna for 4 possible reasons very likely, the one OP is thinking of is probably not one of them. 1. Fortuna = Godess of luck and fortune. Fits the usual naming conventions of the solar system as a whole. 2. Fortuna = Part of the Venus landscape. 3. Because Fortuna fits a Corpus settlement 4. Due to the ancient roman Venus-Fortuna cult.
Nesodos
Its a popular name, is connected to luck and fits the gold digger-esque theme

Actually, most things named "Fortuna" were named after that goddess. So even if it's a reference to something other than the goddess, it's likely referencing something that was referencing the goddess.
Tricky5hift
Isn't Fortuna just the name of the underground hub and Orb Vallis the name of the actual open world?
