December 2019 Riven Disposition Updates

Greetings Tenno!

Due to the nature of the Empyrean update, we’re doing things a bit differently this time - Riven disposition changes originally intended for Prime Access are coming a little early, live right now on PC! For those that missed our previous Riven Workshop, this is our first time balancing dispositions per weapon instead of per weapon family, as this functionality was added with The Old Blood update. A few remarks on how we’ve chosen to undergo these changes:

  • Players made it clear that they don’t want situations where the base weapon can become stronger than the upgraded version - we don’t want that either, unless the stars align for a “perfect” roll that works better on an older weapon. Therefore, increases to old base weapons will be small and gradual, to ensure we don’t cross this fine line.
  • New weapon upgrades are still taken into consideration when adjusting the lesser base weapons, but to much less of an extent than before. Again, to avoid the situation described above, all adjustments must be somewhat relative.
  • Kuva weapons are intentionally untouched in this update, as their slow rate of acquisition has led to skewed stats. They will certainly be changed in our next wave of disposition adjustments.
  • For those that missed the announcement, we will also be adjusting melee dispositions in the NEXT Prime Access update, once Melee 3.0 stats have settled down.
  • Console players will get these changes in their upcoming Prime Access builds - thank you for your patience.

With all that said, here are the changes!

Every time you change this stuff retroactively.

Thanks, I guess.

Can you retroactively refund the plat difference on these changes too?

This is the risk of buying god roll rivens. If you don't want to risk a riven going from 20k to 20, then dont buy them.

If we actually had a controlled market this wouldn't be a huge issue. Everyone knows the rivens change, all this does is cause them to become more expensive as people want to not risk keeping them for as long. Weird how that works, right?

Love the people complaining about these.  They've been changing dispositions for almost a year now and people still act surprised at meta weapons getting nerfed.

A bad thing doesn't become any better just cause you do it all the time. Also gaze and tysis aren't meta.

It's based off usage, not meta. Some meta weapons don't even get nerfs(Khom) and the only lesser used weapons that got nerfed were lanka and rubico(before rubico prime released even)

Hi.

Oof, Riven changes arrived. Time to look what happened this time... Whoa, seperate Riven Dispositions for normal weapons and their Prime counterparts.

I actually thought that the 0,4 Riven Disposition will see the light with the next adjustment to Rivens, but it looks like there is no 0,4 Disposition for the Catchmoon. Still waiting for a 2,0 Riven Disposition for special Weapons like the Stug tho.

Disposition buffs for the Lanka, Vectis and some other Snipers? I haven't expected that, but that's very cool. I mean most people don't really use Snipers in normal Gameplay, so some buffs are welcome. I think it's also the first time that no Sniper Rifle received a nerf. Sadly the content where they are used the most, is pretty much dead now, because of the recent Itzal nerf. RIP Eidolons 2019. Still waiting for a Blink revert or an adjustment of the Blink Cooldown.

Oof...further nerfs for Pyrana Prime. Was that really needed DE?

Also nerfs to Tysis and Spectra Vandal Rivens? Have I missed something?

P. S. Because Vectis Rivens got buffed a bit now... Can I get Primed Chamber please?

So no melee riven change?

Sad....... expect to see more salt here for melee changes.

They're holding off on melee because if the big melee update last month.

In other news *sees both favourite primary and secondary get run into the dirt* looks like I'll just go full melee at this point
