Grendel looks grineer ish for me

Maybe it is partially the coloring, but when I see base Grendel, I don't think "Warframe". I think "Grineer Special unit that probably like, spews acid, and can burp up maggots that attack or something, and has a weakpoint on its stomach and then has a toxic aura similar to Nox or something".

I just really think of him as a cartoonish ghoul that has nothing to do with Warframes. Maybe with the right skin...

I don’t think they’d really have to go that far in explaining Caliban, why wouldn’t the Orokin make a Sentient-themed Warframe? Fight fire with fire and all that, especially since Warframes were designed by different people with different artistic tastes and ideas.

They’ve already done that with Vauban and Nidus, I was just surprised they hadn’t made one for the Grineer before the Sentients (I guess Mirage counts, but she’s a little too different), but I guess we’ll see as time goes on.

I can't remember if the grineer rebellion was before or after the old war, but I'm 100% sure that they had issues at that time with corpus and infested. Maybe they uprised during the war itself when everything as about to end for the empire, I'm too lazy to do the research in this area so it'll all depend on when they started to be the grineer trops we know right now.

After the Old War, since even after we rebelled they could still be seen working for the Orokin.

That doesn’t mean there weren’t renegade factions on the sidelines that we killed for the Orokin, we already know there were pirates and insurrectionists during that time too, it’s just likely that the rest of the Grineer followed suit after the Orokin lost their power.

Then this could be an explanation on why they didn't create a "grineer-esque/anti-grineer" frame, grineer didn't pose a threat until the fall of the empire when no one was around anymore to develop that frame. Maybe the frames themselves were enough to deal with them with no "specialist" needed, this is pure speculation but it's kinda weird that devs didn't released a grineer themed frame yet, since Vauban was intended to be "anti corpus" on design and lore (and that prime trailer is very old) and also considering how old is Nidus, theyprobably have a good reason on why not.

This could be a sweet question for the next devstream

You’re reading far too much into this. There doesn’t need to be specialised grineer units, because the grineer would’ve been one of the reasons to create warframes in the first place. They aren’t special or unique, they are dudes in armour that just need to be shot.

And even then, there aren’t “grineer” specialists but there are the Graxx skins.

Its only happened once so far but I did a massive double-take when it did. I assume this either means Space mom is coming back for NW or its something for the Halloween event (either way it shouldn't have triggered here). It swapped back to the expected Lotus portrait after this voice line.

Just saw the Natah transmission during a SP kuva survival about an hour ago, had to come to the forums to check if anyone else had seen it yet and was shocked to only see one thread about it, so it must be relatively new, presumably the latest hotfix or so. Still, as with the others here it was such a shock that I didn't really get much of a chance to react before it was gone, but I very much do not think it is a bug

And yet most accounts here do not have the hand symbol.

User only joined the forums 18 hours ago, the Hand symbol states Joined Recently don't know when they get the training wheels dropped though.

I like to think that this character is just sitting here thinking "What am I doing here? I'm not even a time traveller. How did I end up at this point in time and space? Can I not deal with this random stuff for five seconds of my life and just live a bit more normally? By the void..." and thus they're just quiet.

Pretty obvious it's a staff member or forum mod, only way to have an avatar like they have, us Mere mortals cannot do that.

It is because Caliban will use actual sentient tech in him, he wont just be sentient-themed, he will be an actual sentientframe hybrid. I dont think the Orokin would risk something like that. Vauban being Corpus themed is a stretch since the Corpus werent around back then. Corpus and Grineer didnt become militant factions until after the fall of the Orokin. The whole idea behind the frames was also to not use highly advanced tech that the Sentient forces could exploit and turn against the Orokin, slapping sentient tech into a frame would be the opposite of that since sentients are highly advanced technological beings.

I mean this is tying into the plot of the game right? I’m not talking about the actor I’m talking about the character.

Graxx skins has nothing to do here, since those are tennogen.
