Translation: We had too many girly girls and girly boys complaining about the Hive Missions being too hard. So we nerfed the joy right out of it. WTF!!!!!!! Not cool. I for one truly enjoyed having a non-endless mission that wasn't a gimme. A place where high lvl tenno could go for a challenge that didn't require 40 to 60 minutes before if caused lesser Tenno to run away screaming like little girls. Hive missions are......were unique and the only mission like this in the entire game and your trying to make it like all the rest Why? Why was this necessary? Look I'm all for balanced game play that all can enjoy most of the time. I am not for "all can enjoy all of the time". This mission was the only thing on the star chart that makes.......er made me think I'm going to easily fail if I drop my guard for a second. In fact I did fail the higher lvls at first more times then not. Another words no easy win. THAT'S WHAT I LIKED ABOUT IT! I ran this solo just because of that wonderful warm feeling it gave me that as soon as the mission started I was in deep doo doo. Not every mission needs to have a win/loss rate of 99/1. And no soloing T4's is not an acceptable replacement. Only the endless mission types work for a challenge and even then you have to wait 15 minutes or longer before things get tricky. Also Tower missions are all by the numbers. I mean that literally. All of there actions and reactions, spawn points, mod grouping and flow rates can be anticipated by anyone that has played the game for a long time. They do not have that sense of chaotic game play you get from infested. Plus who wants to waste their T4's. I will give DE the benefit of the doubt and pray they had a good reason for this. I will also pray that soon we will have content that's less of a gimme for high lvl players. I don't need the Holy Grail of all games "End Content". But I do want and need something I can't just waltz through for a win. It was nice to see a relay get destroyed? I thought it meant we were going to get more missions we actually had to work at to win but this nerf is a step in the wrong direction. Before anyone says just wait for the T5's.............Don't care. Having the same mission with the difficulty turned up after you have been playing this game for so long is not an acceptable replacement for something challenging. It should be accurate to the real game, like three Tennos awake from slumber and escape Vor and meet the lotus. They go on quest to find the Queens of the Grineer and on the way they face tough challengers but also recruit new Tennos as the adventure goes on. But...but....the other ones are lame............ :( The reason why people do infested defense is because of the rewards. They'll endure any spawn rate for rewards. That's one of the big problems in Warframe is how game play is skewed by rewards. Easy mode sit on a crate and drink with homer's drinking bird Defense gives better rewards than most missions. Even in the void, defense rewards better than survival since December. It's also obvious if you watch the devstreams long enough that certain individual devs prefer defense, and not something like action packed, like a Space Ninja, survival. Reward desparities between missions are bad enough, but to make the least Space Ninja mission in the game (i.e. getting crunk on a box with homer's drinking bird defense) into the best rewarding is really really weird. That and DE DID pull a bit of a $&*^ move by adding in something that wasn't in the thread to begin with. It has nothing to do with not reading and making assumptions. The phrasing used in the poll in no way explicitly stated or even implied that the other two keys would ONLY be T1/T2. Quite the opposite. I think they're fine but there's way too many and, in long endless missions, basically not being able to use most of your abilities for most of the time isn't fun in any way. drunkpunk222 Posted January 17, 2015 Share Posted January 17, 2015 (edited) Still not fixed, cant make any screenshots about this bug, in forum there is a plenty of threads about that, i cant play game when using direct x 10,11, game loading very slow, stutter when loading and disconnect when trying to join or load mission with team, almost always when dx 10 or 11 checked. taiiat Posted January 17, 2015 Share Posted January 17, 2015 Reduced enemy spawn rates in Infested Hive Missions to be more in-line with other non-endless mission types. allow me to suggest an alternative. vary the Level Ranges of the Hive Missions more. make the lower Level Hive Missions have lower Spawn Rates, and higher Level ones higher Spawn Rates. i would have suggested to show distinction based on the 'Difficulty' stat, but Players aren't allowed to see that anymore, so we can't use it. :| but most importantly, having a range of difficulty levels for Players to opt for. if Balance is a concern, i fail to see any problem, since if people are grinding Infested, they're doing it more efficiently, and far easier, in Defense anyways.
