(XBOX)Grihaly
Obviously it's some kind of greeting, but what is the direct translation?
spacerocks
I dont think theres a direct translation. In one of the Thousand Year Fish codex entries, it gives some meaning to what they say. Swazdo-lah is translated as "a common greeting". My guess is its literally like saying "Hey" or "Hello".
bluepheonix13
There was some codex entry which explains these ostron expressions, forgot which one though. I think one of the fishes.
Koldraxon-732
From the way it's used, it sounds like their version of your typical 'greetings!' or 'hai!'. In essence, your question, 7 minutes ago, (Xbox One)A Frikn Grizzly said: Obviously[,] it's some kind of greeting, is the answer.

Miser_able
The closest real life translation is probably aloha, meaning both hello and goodbye.

KnossosTNC
Necro. Anyway, considering several of the Ostrons have Thai-derived names (Nakak, Suumbat and Hok), I suspect "swazdo-lah" might be a mutation of "sawadee," a Thai greeting.
