  1. With a bit of time and practice you can start to become familiar with each Acolyte and its tricks. Like other replies are pointing out, the issue you are having, sounds like Malice and their ability to cast Magnetise on you. Do you play any Mag? If so, you may be familiar with Magnetise, which for a very basic overview, is a bit like a bullet magnet or bullet attractor. Now playing as Mag, its great, your bullets, enemy projectiles etc all get stuck in that bubble you create and shreds the enemies inside... However when Malice casts it on you... Well if you aren't paying attention and fire your guns, you can end up dead quick. There are a few different options for counter play. Some people can find it hard to notice if Magnetise is on them, but the more familiar you start to get with it, the easier it can be to tell. Like if you see that the next Acolyte is going to be Malice, you can even do some testing and observe them and the effects. That way you know what to look out for in the future. When its cast on you, you can simply roll and it will be left behind. You should see a distorted light greenish bubble. So rolling is one way. Be weary that the bubble can still be dangerous, and say if you are in a corridor with Malice on the other side of the bubble, you may not be able to hit them. Need to get around or past the bubble. Another method is to just switch to melee, and kill them that way, Mind you, be careful of melee that might have projectiles. Most traditional melee should leave you fine. Another method is just to kill Malice as soon as they spawn. Like if you use Magus lockdown on them, and hit em with certain weapons, hard and fast Another semi important tip? If Malice spawns? Try to avoid standing around any Defence objects, if thats the mission type. Not only can you one shot yourself, but you can also destroy the Defence objective easy too. Some of the other Acolytes can have similar tricks, not many as lethal as Malice though (Violence can turn off abilities via Silence, and that can be annoying for certain Warframes). Good luck!
  2. I'd be happy to be wrong, but I can't really imagine them announcing anything new or exciting. Oh well, I mean, they could announce exact date of The Seven Crimes of Kullervo, and hype that up. Maybe just reflect on Duviri, maybe announce something like Dog Days, tease Tennocon, cover charity work. Stuff most of us may already know.
  3. In theory this could sound nice, but you always have to remember that it can take resources to implement. Depends. Like, I personally think there are a few Evolutions for Incarnons that are meh, but most of the time, I sort of understand why they exist. They are probably easy to implement and work of existing assets (reload faster, faster projectiles, minus zoom etc), adding in options which change the Incarnon type itself? Potentially interesting but may require more effort/resources. Like I think your suggestions are great, but hypothetically if they devoted the resources to make say... certain Incarnon forms vary, thats effort that could have gone on making an entirely new Incarnon mode for a weapon. Also... depending on how they balance the different modes, one may just be considered the better/best option, the meta choice, the only one worth using, and if the player base generally behaves that way, then the unpopular Incarnon mode, sort of just exists without much value or return. To be clear, I am not against it, I personally like weapons having more variety. Could also solve a few issues, with certain guns. Maybe the Soma could switch between modes similar to the Fulmin. I know some prefer the more classic feeling accuracy of the regular mode, but some also like the new mode type, on top of your suggested examples. That also being said, I am also fine with how they are, and I would probably prefer more new Incarnons, that could potentially use the slightly different Incarnon modes instead of adding them to our current ones, if such a choice had to be made (which may not be the case).
  4. Hello there too! I sympathise with your situation, I think there are a few different issues we have to consider though too. Like what is it about Survival you find chill exactly, are we talking about Steel Path or normal starchart? Are you almost advocating for a new and different mode, how much do you invest into your weapons? Another important factor, how would you address the issue of AFK playstyles and players attempting to exploit a mode. Like the following is not insistence, or opposing your suggestions, but more consideration. Like, if you like killing enemies at a slower pace, why not choose Exterminate? There is no timer, granted, you do usually have to make your way through a level, but why is that considered not chill? Though a new mode where the enemies swarm you and more aggressively pursue you like in Survival, but without the pressure for life support, could be interesting and fun... but that would probably be better as a different mode. One that would have to have figure out ways to avoid AFK farming. Like for a sincere player who wants an endless mode, where they just want to use certain weapons that may struggle in Survival, sure... but you also have to remember not all players are sincere and some would love a mode they could AFK in, with minimal effort to farm certain resources and a "chill" mode, where enemies comes to them, but are easy to kill with "off meta weapons", you see where this is going? Also again, which modes? IIRC normal mode is more chill as far as life support drops and all that. So are you struggling with normal mode or Steel Path? If its Steel Path, why not do the normal mode instead? Have you also considered taking in a Warframe or other weapons that can assist? For example, I have taken all the weapons you mentioned, I like them too, I have used them in Steel Path Survival, I think they are decently capable, but not necessarily chill... There are things you can do though, like using corridors and punch through and aiming for headshots should make the Grinlok viable. So I disagree that you have to use the meta or AOE. That being said, its not necessarily chill nor can you necessarily stay a long time. My own personal solution is to bring an assist weapon. So there is the fun or interesting weapon I want to use (like say a Grinlok), and then a more effective group killer enemy, like say I might bring Nidus and a Stropha. Something that can quickly kill 20 enemies in less than a few seconds. Then you just alternate, the weapon you want to use, and then the weapon that has a higher KPM. Also to be clear, I am not saying that because I can use non meta weapons in Survival for a while, you have to or should be able to, again though I don't know what Survival missions you are talking about. Whether SP or normal Star Chart, do you think in two weeks you will be stronger than you currently are? Which enemies are you fighting against? Do you use punch through mods, are you good at lining up enemies etc Basically if they did introduce a new endless mode, they'd have to be careful around making it too passive, for those that may want to exploit it. Also for consideration? There is one Lua Exterminate which is a cross faction Exterminate. Its pretty chill in the sense, the enemies keep respawning in a short distance, so you can stay in the first few areas and get a lot of enemy and enemy density, if you don't like moving around too much.
  5. I mean there are a few different ways they could explain it. I haven't gotten all the Duviri lore fragments yet, so maybe they touch on it. Could be as simple as where and how we acquire Incarnon Genesis Adapters , and Cavalero being Cavalero and the knowledge he has and the nature of what he is. Basically we potentially have ways to make weapons "Void touched", even if not all of it is explained right now.
  6. Can sympathise with possible frustrations. Not that big a deal for me personally. I already waited 5 weeks for the first rotation week to return, now I just have to wait another week. Is the solution inelegant? I suppose t depends. If you rather have week 1 choices, then sure, you might prefer them to fix it, if you prefer week 6 choices, then its a nice surprise. For me, well I want them all, so its a bit of both. Given this is DE and this did happen, I imagine its better for them to not try any midweek fixes involving having to reset progress or have some people getting something and others getting something else, can you imagine how much more stuff could go wrong? Just let it play out. Alternatively. DE this has really negatively impacted on me and uh something, a whole week? Do you realise how long that is? Thats 7 days, thats 168 hours, thats 604 800 seconds!! Thats time we won't get back, how can I trust you anymore? Next week, we might get week 4's Incarnons? Who can live in such a topsy turvy upside down world with such uncertainty! The only way you can get me to trust you again is to announce a Tigris Incarnon! Yes yes, then all will be well, and good again. Perfect way to solve this entire ordeal and scandal!
  7. Oh damn lol, OH WAIT, THAT MEANS I CAN GET THE DREAD! I better hurry in case they change lol.
  8. i hear the main difference is that Burston has a much better fire rate and more charge, and Braton does a bit more damage, as far as single bullets or something. I generally hear a bit more praise for the Burston, BUT... with 5 Forma, your Braton will probably def be more effective. For myself, eh, my Braton Riven is a lot better than my Burston Riven, but I am probably going to just rotate them anyway. Hope it lives up to the hype at least for you!
  9. Totally. We all have our different preferences and builds. Circumstance too. At the stage I am in the game, I pretty much never need to worry about Forma or Slots again. I have a bunch of stuff I can sell if I need Plat, if I run out of my current Plat. I also tend to like attacking from far away, so even though I have an amazing Riven for my Bramma, still a lot of tilesets/situations where Nataruk, Paris Incarnon can outperform it and vice versa. I also just enjoy the latter bows more, if I wanted a Bramma like weapon, I'd probably use the KZarr, so basically all just preferences. That also being said, ways to maximise performance on weapons. Hence advice about say modding and tactics. If you are looking for the most powerful Incarnons, you might want to try Latron, Torid, Miter, maybe Burston and Braton. Charge is based on multishot too, oh actually, I remember you never liked having to go for headshots right? Actually yeah that makes a lot of sense why you might like them less, all pretty fair/reasonable. You might like Torid, you only need to get direct shots (as in non headshots). Braton is pretty fun, but I imagine your biggest issue may still stay the same? If its around the aiming aspect. For myself, my builds, the raw damage and kill potential goes up significantly, even compared to a lot of meta weapons, but I generally am always aiming for the head anyway, so there isn't much downtime if I choose. Also the normal stats of the weapon get greatly increased as well, even if you don't use the Incarnon. A bunch of them get into 200% Crit or Status or both as well with certain Evolutions. Again though, definitely won't be for everyones enjoyment. Yeah we have completed our first full rotation. I believe Braton, Paris, Skana, Lato and Kunai will be available at the weeks reset in roughly 12ish hours. Good luck with the Braton!
  10. Yep, Nataruk is decent in Circuit, but one of its main strengths in regular Steel Path, which also depends on the tile set, is that players can often corral enemies into lines. You can try using corridors, choke points and other map geometry, and taking advantage of the punch through of the perfect shot to kill a lot of enemies. If you have a lot of enemies swarming you from multiple directions, and they are less lined up behind each other, your effectiveness will diminished. So many of the tile sets on the Circuit aren't conductive to Nataruks strengths. Like --END--Rikutatis says, putting on a Fire Rate mod helps out with the delay, which means you can fire it more often. Its still great single target DPS, and still a lot of situations where you hit multiple enemies, because of its large hitbox and punch through mechanics. Can help if you have a grouping ability though too (which of course isn't always an option depending what Warframes you get).
  11. Interesting survey. I had a bit of difficulty (well I generally do with all surveys generally, since I am a big depends person. I always liked essays at school versus choice style, limited options ha), but I did my best to be selective. Thanks for arranging these. I quite like the versatility of Protea, Citrine, Lavos, Nidus, Wisp, Vauban and Mag. Warframes that can support allies if needed (say you get newer players with you, or you end up staying with a group that wants to stay a while), can CC well if needed, like if you have to do an Archon Mobile Defence or Excavation), but also DPS well or can give synergy/buffs with weapons or others. If I only could pick one though, I would just pick one of above at random. I also use to do something similar to you regarding Helminth buffs. If there was a fun one, I'd usually use that Warframe extra (I really liked the Velocity buffs, reload buffs etc).
  12. So a few things. We do have cross platform gaming currently. People on PC can play with people on consoles, however... They can't trade with each other. We don't know if they ever will be able to. Maybe? Maybe not. So you can't right now regardless of other factors. Speaking of those other factors, lets say hypothetically you could? Well cross save has been spoken about from DE. So you could just wait for that. Thats one option. I am less certain about whether DE has mentioned account merging. I think they have, but you could try Support and make inquiries. That way, if you don't want to wait, and you want to make progress on your PC account, you can and maybe one day have both accounts merged? Thats another option. I would probably ask Support though. Like its possible that account merging may take a long time. I'll disagree with some of the advice given already though. In my experience, unusual activity will be flagged for review automatically. Unusual doesn't mean bad or illegitimate though, I've given a lot of new players disproportionate things for much less in return, I imagine such exchanges happen all the time. Many of them are probably flagged "this account just gave a bunch of Prime parts, 100 Plat and all if got in return was a Bronze Mod?" alt accounts being shady? Well no, there are ways to tell its just one player who has a lot of progression, giving a genuinely new player some starting help or maybe a friend. Both accounts have been active at the same time, different IP, different countries, the new account is doing stuff a typical new account does, its not holding Rivens for some reason or only doing quests that give exclusive GOTL rewards only... So things will be flagged a lot, but can be determined to be above the board or not. hat being said if you are being a bit shady, that will probably be recognised as well. Thats why if you attempt to do anything that might potentially seem shady and unusual, you should probably ask DE. Its why a few content creators, Youtubers still ask for permission to make alt accounts so they can make "New Player Guides" to be above board. Instead of just making them. Basically do your best to not be shady/insincere.
  13. Some people are asking for a few seconds, from others, generally. People aren't trying to tell you want you personal experiences are. If your personal experience is that you get people who dawdle, thats totally fine, thats different though. Can you distinguish or understand the difference? Like what did you have for breakfast? Lets say you answered right? Now imagine me saying "no thats wrong, because I had Greek Yogurt, and its not a few seconds, it took me minutes" well of course, our experiences are different.
  14. Sure, but I don't think thats a controversial statement that people disagree with, but also, I don't think that all the people in this thread are talking about "people rushing" because they need 10 minutes to browse weapons, eat a snack, ponder the philosophical merits of taking Hind over the Karak, and then checking out a Wikia guide on which Drifter Intrinsic to take next, then getting angry others are "rushing". Its just people who do actually want those few seconds you mentioned, to actually be able to at least pick anything instead of having their choices removed and being stuck with no choices because they load into the Undercroft transition area. Its like someone saying "Please don't kick the three legged puppy" and then someone else saying "Well personally I think its rude if you don't kick the puppy, because once I met one that was racist and would carry a gun in its mouth and it would kill and torture small kittens, and pee on their corpses and howl with evil laughter". Well like, sure, in that situation with those specifics, in that context, sure. Just in the other context, with a normal three legged good puppy, please don't kick those ones. Basically if you are interpreting the difference being more than a few seconds, thats different than people just wanted enough time, to get to choose. As in choose not meaning taking extra, or taking longer than a few seconds. Some don't even get that.
  15. "I recognise that giant rocky ass anywhere, its my Atlas Karst skin config." "How can you tell, you look at the Warframes from the front when you load in?" "Oh trust me I can tell. Heh heh". Sorry, I am the same, but when i saw your comment it just made me wonder how common our ability is. I mean probably common on the Forums but yeah lol. I generally agree with your post as well. I've actually been pleasantly surprised by how nice and patient a lot of players I have encountered have been, across all consoles, a few different countries and different languages.
  16. Ah sorry to hear that. I know you were curious and interested in the weapon. I mean, I was too, but only in a light sort of way. The potential ideas behind such a weapon are there, tis pity it seems underwhelming. As more of a guns person, I feel a bit bad for those that prefer melees, it feels like guns generally got more of an edge. I do hope we get more Incarnon eventually, but I also hope they emphasis more unique and interesting modes. Like, I love the Daikyu, but wouldn't want it to just be like the Paris or Dread. I love the Tigris but hope its not just like the Strun.
  17. No one knows for certain, but I know DE Reb is a fan of a few two handed Nikana. Look tinfoil hat time, but is it really that unreasonable to think that Reb secretly plotted within the walls of DE so she may finally take over, finally release the Prisma Lenz, introduce a system that powers up some of her other favourite old classic weapons via Incarnon? Conspiracy? Or do all roads lead to Tennocon 2023, where the latter half of the main show will be in in depth look at a new two handed Nikana stance, Pennant Prime, Incarnon Pennant, and a new Warframe, that is 3 Pennants tied together, that shoots Pennants from their eyes. Only time will tell!
  18. Sure... and I agree that Spectres aren't the sole and only cause, but what I can also say, is that I can replicate this bug consistently with Spectres. I can go do that now. I do definitely know it can happen elsewhere, where its impossible to use Spectres, but a lot of the games tech reuses assets. I am not aware of DE insisting it must only be Spectres for example, but they likely are interlinked or a variable in the equation. Its a bit like how there are Incarnon issues at the moment. A few different issues, some involve Galvanised Status Mods, but not all of them. Someone could say "Well I don't use Galvanised Mods" and sure... but this is Warframe, the bugs can overlap and intermingle in different ways. Some users may be oversimplifying or mistaking the problem if they only think its Spectres though, I definitely agree with you on that, and yeah we both definitely agree on wanting it fixed finally. Its super annoying and on some mission types prevents progress, like not being able to pick up Cells, Keys etc super frustrating. Oh jeez, even your text imitation of the sound effect it causes is giving me mild stress lol.
  19. Yeah my memory is hazy on the matter too, I always knew that the rewards were roughly about the same as regular Sortie, but some were a bit extra. I didn't realise some were double. I had a cursory glance around a few pages to see whether its always been this way, and seems like it. Only thing I could find, was that originally it didn't say you got 3 Forma as a reward. Maybe thats why I was a bit surprised. Thank you for the info!
  20. Oh nice! Yeah, I usually forget to check, I'm usually more focused on whether I got a Tau or not, and totally forget everything else ha. I imagine for people that do pay attention, must suck to get another Anasa, but at least some of the other rewards are a bit better than regular Sortie. Thanks for clarification/info.
  21. Semi related, but do you (or anyone else) know if they increased the Archon Hunt rewards recently? I usually don't really pay attention to the reward, I get from Archon Hunts, since I already have too much of the regular rewards, but I was surprised I got 3x Forma from it. I did know you got a bit of extra Kuva and Endo compared to regular daily Sorties, but was surprised by extra Forma. Though yeah, I agree, a daily SP Sortie could be nice, with nicer rewards.
  22. All good! It can be tough/annoying with the Atomos, since you have to get headshots, but since its a beam weapon, can be tricky to get them, but yeah. Plus sometimes the enemies die too fast. Hope the issue is fixed now and you enjoy using it! It got a buff/fix a few days ago, so should be even stronger! All the best!
  23. Same, I ask if everyone is ready? That usually gets people to start communicating and talking to each other, and then the game usually takes on a more friendly, casual tone, which usually lasts throughout the whole game. I mean, not always, some people are naturally quieter, and talking in chat isn't everyones cup of tea, but it can be quite nice. Especially with a few of the bugs, and people trying to help each other, and displaying general friendliness.
  24. I sympathise OP, and also I admire your diplomacy with dealing with peoples replies. Thing with such systems, is... well DE probably spends a decent amount of time, and energy and data to get the percentages of such Relics, to be set a certain way. As in its suppose to be a little bit frustrating, a bit of the time, but not overly frustrating, very often. Sort of creating a sweet spot, where if you try to maximise your chances, (run a Rad Relic in a group of people also running the same Rad Relic), you should probably end up with the Rare at a certain pace, with some greater sense of satisfaction, as opposed to a more neutral reaction because you expected it. Or to put it another way, I could use 4 Radiant Relics in a row and not be surprised to get a Common. Why? Well, I trained myself at a young age to think statistics can be deceptive, and to save frustration, try to not overestimate fortunate that is beneficial, and always be prepared a bit for bad luck/misfortunate, even if it might be rarer. As a result, I tend to be more pleasantly surprised with good luck/fortunate. Not to say all people should think as I do, and I actually dislike RNG without RNG mitigation generally. Relics sort of have that, since you always get something, and sometimes you can sell it, so in theory, if you never get what you want, you can get enough of something to sell to buy what you want but ehh. Always thought another system might be nice. That being said, I usually assume that DE isn't likely to make huge changes to such systems, because the odds/percentages are tied to a system thats essentially one of their main cash flow sources. Well that and it involves Plat. Players generally know what to expect even if they may have ideas on improvements, but there are a few costs and risks in messing with a system that seems fine as is. Think about how they make such changes. Decent idea though all the same.
