Stropha and Redeemer are infinite ammo shotguns with no duty cycle that can abuse melee mods. They are S-tier powerfully degenerate. When it was first released it behaved pretty much identically like the Stropha, Fulmin and yes, the Catchmoon (albeit the Catchmoon had an absurdly long range for a shotgun). You dont get better range without losing something. And thats not negotiable. If its range is increased then you either get nerfed damage, nerfed speed, or split between both. So what were you willing to Trade? Because asking for a range increase without nerfing another aspect is basically just asking for an OP Gunblade, which isnt a reasonable request. I am of the opinion the Gun blades should have had a resource cost attached to it , maybe combo counter points (not the actual x multiplier but the points that make it up) . Yamazuki Posted September 13, 2020 Share Posted September 13, 2020 It's a "melee" weapon, with significantly more range than melee weapons, and deals more damage. It also completely lacks all the weaknesses melee has, and even when enemies are virtually immune to melee, this does not apply to gunblades. Then consider, it also lacks all the weaknesses of shotguns... does more damage than other shotguns too. There also are ways to increase the range a little bit even.
