  1. Does Nyx absorb still absorb damage from teammates unless you use Assimilate? If yes, then this is why the energy cost per damage needs to go. Imagine if some trigger happy players with their 1 million damage boom gun happens to hit YOUR bubble. Say goodbye to your energy when that happens.
  2. Those who say Mirage is irrelevant even if the "nerfed" proposal goes to the live build seem to overlook the hilariously bonkers yet underrated room-clearing potential of this Warframe. Either way, I am indifferent about the changes.
  3. Most game modes are geared towards DPS setups. If we look at all the game modes: Mobile Defense, Mirror Defense, Excavation, and Interception are the only game modes that do not penalize having a crowd control setup. Addressing this imbalance should alleviate the bias towards DPS. I agree with Pablo's sentiment, however, there are ways to tweak the frame without ruining its identity or turning it into another "super nuker braindead meta" of the season. Loki's decoy having scaling is just one step of that. Say, for example, tweaking Switch Teleport that makes the switched enemies confused permanently and deals +550% in friendly fire damage akin to 10 stacks of radiation, would make it useful without changing it entirely and still align with what the ability tooltip says.
  4. I have a feeling that Caliban still has that touch of ol' [DE]Scott. Yes, the man who is dubbed the "guy who nerfs everything in Warframe" or you can say the "Fun Police" by the Warframe community. From my observation, His approach to designing frames is to "release it weak and underpowered, but buff it quickly in the following update/hotfix based on feedback". What seems to be the problem is that Caliban was released when the Warframe dev team was undergoing a transition of leadership from the old guard to the new guard. It seems the new guard does not diligently follow Scott's frame design philosophy. If you look at recent Warframes after Caliban, only Kullervo received drastic changes post-launch; the rest are just bug fixes or minimal changes. Caliban only has two major problems in my opinion: Hilariously bad first ability and the second ability disrupting gameplay. If Lethal Progeny rips a page from Lantern and makes enemies "anchored" to the ground preventing them from floating off and Razor Gyre is reworked entirely or has vastly improved scaling, then Caliban will be in a much better place.
  5. This is IOS.. wait until Android hits. Android player population can potentially outnumber all players in every other platform combined. A "Become The Host" option is long overdue.
  6. The one big turn off of Yareli for me is the unmoddable Merulina. Let me make some meme builds with K-Drive Mods DE! It's not like I'll trivialize the already trivialized gameplay that screams "NERF ME" using a modded K-Drive.
  7. I am a bit neutral on this change because some of the items (e.g. Archon Mods) still have decent platinum resale value. So, there are still some motivations to do those Kahl Missions even after the archon shard removal.
  8. What I want them is to fix the annoying bug where it doesn't spawn the sand shadows versions of Eximus Enemies. Also, Mercy Finishers should count as a condition as well.
  9. I disagree on this point. Mirage is in a far much better state than Chroma right now. For a quick example, let's compare Spectral Scream with Hall of Mirrors. Hall of Mirrors : 1. Provides some evasion because enemies will target the clones. 2. Damage scales based on the percentage of the equipped weapon, which can boost the clones' damage effectiveness to absurd numbers with certain weapon setups. Spectral Scream : 1. Deals a pitiful 400 elemental damage per second with 100% status chance, scales with Fury Multiplier and Ability Strength. 2. Provides elemental switching (If Spectral Scream doesn't provide function number two, it will be immediately taken out by the majority of the player base through the helminth system.) Then there's the nuking potential of Sleight of Hand with its augment. And don't even start Mirage can effectively cheese Steel Path Circuit with Prism due to how easy it is to hit so many enemies at once because of how open the maps are; boosting Prism's damage to very high numbers in the process.
  10. Don't like to deal with "RNG loadout nonsense" but still want the new shiny? Then skip the grind by using the "trading" route. Let the "RNG loadout locing masochists" have fun this time, mkay? With all due respect, all I am seeing with this "forced" mentality is just a buzzword so you can play all parts of the game by your own rules and only your rules. It's amazing that DE doesn't listen to you people when The Circuit was launched up till today. I hope they'll keep this up. My advice to you is buy these items with your hoards of platinum and go back to the content Island you enjoy. There is no "perfect" Content Island that satisfy all types of people, even myself.
  11. I'll take 100% uptime on demand 3x base damage multiplier over an inconsistent "stand in light" mechanic which is a death wish for a glass cannon like Mirage all day. Constant movement is vital for survival especially when enemy damage get into the "one shot player" territory. With the current "buff based on light intensity" mechanic, it's extremely difficult to maximize Eclipse damage multiplier unless you use specific methods (e.g. setting yourself on fire). Warframe right now has a stacking multiplier issue, where stacking multiplier after multiplier nets exponential gain without diminishing returns. This is why Hybrid setups dominate the meta. This problem forced DE's hand to implement damage attenuation. Because DE knows players lose their minds when DE touched theit setups. I hope DE is not deterred to forge on to squish multipliers going forward.
  12. Setting your ping limit to "No Limit" will always give you a full conclave lobby. However, I cannot guarantee it will be a pleasant match with the constant rubber-banding.
  13. What I read from your post : "DE Please give me free forma on a monthly basis"
  14. Players lose their minds when their weapon deals 998 million damage instead of 999 million because of balance changes (I am exaggerating a bit here, but I am not that far off from the truth). The best we can do to increase build variety is introducing "variants" of "mandatory mods". Amalgam Serration is a good example of this. Sacrifice a little bit of performance, but you gain something else.
  15. Welp looks like the goalpost has been moved from "When is X-Save" to "Ded Server When". Warframe is known for its ease of access regardless of Hardware and Network capabilities. Shoving a subscription based model will turn a lot of players away. I think the next best thing to ask is a dedicated "Host" button. Don't want to deal with client bugs? Then be the Host! Let the poor guy who joins your questionable setup deal with those. If paid games like Payday 2 can thrive with full lobbies even with a "force host" option, I am sure Warframe can too.
  16. People don't want "Crossplay", they want Cross-Save. When Cross-play was announced people aren't that excited compared to cross-save. All of the whining ryhme something along like this "I just bought a PC, I want to transfer my progress from my console". I see Cross-Play as either a mistake or a demand from DE's new major shareholder, which is Tencent.
  17. Honestly, I would prefer if we could change our melee stance on the fly in missions like the Teshin portion of The New War quest. Think of the potential combos we can pull off if this system is a reality. Then again, I am an opponent of the polarization system in general because of its anti-flexibility nature. No, building copies of the same item is NOT the solution. The Circuit determines items based on forma count. I am locked to my "Cookie Cutter" builds because I can't select the item that has the build I wanted. Hopefully, this will motivate DE to rework the polarity system so that we don't resort to this impractical and costly method.
  18. Gas would still be terrible because of the arbitrary 10 stack limit. It makes gas useless when it's build on high status proc rate weapons. That limit needs to be removed. I am okay having to sacrifice the 6 meter max range as compensation, but keep the lingering clouds on target death as its unique gimmick.
  19. I am afraid this will probably not happen. Just like the auction house, making getting "tradeable" commodities too "convenient" will wreak havoc on the in-game economy. You can say goodbye to selling prime junks if that happens.
  20. Bad luck protection already exist. It's called "buying it with plat you get from trading".
  21. Shadows, Volumetric Lighting, and Lighting Qualiy to name a few.
  22. Great post, however, another elephant in the room of "anti-experimentation" is still not addressed. This elephant also applies to all types of the player's arsenal: the polarization system. With the static polarity of forma except in certain slots (Aura and Stance), players are essentially locked in a limited amount of build options. At best, this system you proposed will only open up weapon combination variety, not the builds associated with such combinations. One may say "But you can just build another copy of the same item!". That is true but the addition of The Circuit using "Forma Count" as the parameter of item priority renders this point moot, at least in that game mode. Not to mention you have to invest in another item slot that demands premium currency full stop, which turns away some players. This topic deserves its thread, so I will not derail the poster's topic further.
  23. My wishlist 1. Is space combat in general getting some content this year? 2. Legacy tilesets that is a candidate for a remaster. From the mobile trailer, it seems infested corpus ship is next. I want some confirmation from DE that this is the case. 3. Another balance pass on augments. Many augments are just outright useless. Big offenders are Chroma augments. 4. Melee arcanes on exalted weapons. Let those compete with incarnon melee weapons that have power crept them. 5. Now that you are adding void fissures to Zariman and Entrati Labs, will you add them to Lua and Uranus as well?
  24. This is an annoying problem. Those who don't do any research on Warframe, also known as the "play it blind" newbies, will get hit by the "slot wall" that demands premium currency, which gives them the impression that Warframe is "pay to win" and then drop the game. Giving them an increased amount of starting slots or giving free slots as MR rewards would suffice. This also keeps them hooked enough for them to learn about earning premium currency through trading.
