Even Anthem in its current state gets me to play more than Warframe after the melee and wolf updates, just saying..

So, we're in pretty far, on the wolf now.
And it was said, his appearance would increase over time.

So, I had him appear lately.
Pretty fast actually, as I encountered him 3 times in one morning.

Happyness struck.
Finally, I can get the parts of his hammer (the legit way, as should be possible imho).

His last appearance, he threw a mod in my face, and now stays away ever since.

It has been days, since I saw the wolf again.
And I'm grinding this guy from morning to evening.

Am emptied now, sleep deprived.
Just 1 more hammer piece...
And numbly grinding myself into a nuthouse.

I don't believe... this was the intention, right?
To get players to become numb, dead inside?

Meanwhile, I had Stalker visit me so much, I ran out of tea for him.
Even Zanuka shows up, and I rarely ever get to see even 1.
No more wolf...

I certainly hope there's no 'x spawns limited per player' or something.
You start thinking all sorts of crazy stuff, after days filled with 5 minute runs (as they don't appear after that anymore).
It's not... how I would put the word... 'fun', in warframe.

This is, in fact.
Keeping me from doing the fun stuff instead.
And there's no telling how much longer we got, till this ends.
Yes, also the (fomo) fear of missing out- effect.
Wanting to get just his hammer, that's all.
Before it's too late.

And not by trade.
Each person should have an equal opportunity, to fight him enough, to eventually get the hammer legit.
That is at least, how I see it.

I see many people in my clan as well that never saw him even once.

there should be add spawns for him imo. I see low MR people complain since they dot have the guns to kill him. yet those who can kill him.. never sees him?

a dedicated spawn place or a place that has a high chance will also be nice since people can then farm him. Stalker is okay even tho I dont see him for months sometimes. But wolf is an event....

Hope the spawns will be real good before the thing ends..

DE really just needs to go "Ok, here was his spawn rate week 1 and here is how it has increased since then, and here is everything that affects his spawn..." because until they do just telling us that "Oh the spawn rate is increasing!" means nothing.  I mean, going from 0.1% spawn rate to 0.5% spawn rate is an increase of 400% over his initial spawn rate...but doesn't really mean much.

Steve said once during devstream something like that "They dont want keep mastery stuff behind time gate, only accessories". I hope when NW ep1 is gone wolf n fugitives stays at fixed spawn rate.

Why not farm anything else (like statues, mods, prime parts), trade them for plat and then buy the missing piece from another player?

That's a pretty bad work around for what is happening.

DE made a new boss, that drops a new weapon with unique mechanics....and you just have to hope that you can fight him even once, let alone enough to get all of the weapon parts to drop.
Oh but don't worry, if that doesn't happen you can just pay hundreds of plat to get it in case you never run across the new encounter!

It's not just his weapon that's a problem.  Its his utterly abysmal appearance rate that means you can go for 6 weeks, playing multiple hours per day, and never see him in game.  That's a pretty flawed design right there...and going "Oh just buy the weapon with plat!" doesn't really solve the issue or make up for it.

For too many times, have people been answering; 'just use plat'.

hundreds of missions in, i've now seen him 3 times.

2 Molten Impact, 1 Fever strike. No weapon parts.

Spawn rate is abysmal, and his drops even worse.

I get what you mean, but i mean the time spent ingame to get a reward, some players may use 5 hours to farm the new enemy, other spend 5 hours farming other things and then they use the plat to buy said weapon set.

This has been a player choice for pretty much anything in the game, the only issue with the wolf is that it's pretty much mandatory to do other things instead.

The corrupted mods from the derelict vaults, some mods from bounties, a tridolon, statues, the mods you get from the 1 hour survival, the multiple nightmare mods, the rewards from sorties, i'm pretty sure if those are sold for platinum, you have the platinum to buy the weapon set.

So, I have been the guinnea pig for the last few weeks.
Actually went out there, and hunted the wolf.

As I mentioned before, we are in pretty far now (am allready on prestige with nightwave).
So, you'd think his spawn rate, would have been... improved.
As was promised...

And at first sign, it appeared so.
As the wolf appeared 3 times, in the timespan of a few hours.
This gave me the 'go' sign, to start grinding.

My goodness, have I been led astray.

After these lucky encounters, I am now left with no spawns.
Maybe 1 in a day, if I'm lucky.
And each time, he drops a mod...
Instead of the final hammer piece, sought after...

Now take a look at this screen.
See anything peculiar about it?

What are these, overly common drops, doing in the wolf his drop table?
Was this intentional, to vex the community?
Can we really, not get these mods, from somewhere else?
Why do we wish to fight the wolf?
Is it not for his sledge?

Appearently not..., as we seem to be grinding this guy...
Just to have another copy, of an allready owned mod.

This is what I have a problem with.

The wolf is not a permanent monster.
Once nightwave ends, he's gone.. 'poof'.
No hammer? Well, tough luck.

And it is your entire community, that is going through this hell.
Some more than others.
Some have even yet to see a single wolf appear!

And what if we're at the final stage of the event.
And someone finally meets the wolf for their first time...
...to be rewarded with a mod...

Can you envision such scenario?
I definately can, because I am going through it as we speak.

My friend even offered, to give me the last missing piece.
He wanted to trade for it, just so I would stop this grind... (think about that for a second)

But I say no..., as I am trying to prove a point here.
It wouldn't feel right anyway.
In fact, it doesn't feel right.
I would have gotten a piece, which I did not rightfully obtain, from being in combat with him.
I would feel dishonoured.

This drop table... is not right.
Not, in co-existence, with his low spawn rate.
Whoever came up with this decision, has a bad sense of humor.

For a boss, that only is here, for a short period.
AND has low spawnrate... it feels like a sick joke.
Both can't co-exist, and have it be fine.
Because it is not fine.

His drop table should have looked like (see screenshot earlier) This*.
If said drop table is fine, then at least ramp his spawn rate up drastically.
Both at the same time, is a horrible decision.

This, is what I have a problem with.
As it is your entire community, being flipped off.

Imagine if everyone had to go through the same.
Grind from morning, till evening.
For over 2 weeks long!

If you want to have an idea of what my past few weeks have looked like.
Why not try it yourself?
Start every day, doing the same mission over and over.
5 minutes.. no spawn? Repeat...
(hmm what is that? 12 runs per hour? 7 or 6 hours... 72-ish times, of replaying the same mission... each day?)

I have emptied all my stalker marks (He even steals wolf appearance opportunities, advised to empty all yours too).
And that says a lot as well, for I barely ever see the guy on any normal day.
In 1 day, I saw all my stalker marks go, and not a single wolf sign.
That is either a spawn rate, waaay less than 1.5%.
Or some scripted dark secret, meant to make it so sadistic.

I realize this may sound pretty heated.
I'm surprised I'm even calm at the moment of writing this.

Dear @[DE]Community, we are left with nothing of intel.
No date, no rates, no special node where he appears more often...
Nothing...

We are left in the dark, with a timed event.
We don't know how much longer we got.
We're left completely oblivious.

Most likely, someone will answer again with; 'plat this, plat that, put your feeling of honour aside, etc...'

To which I say no....

This whole situation... is not okay.
And even if I get the last piece tomorrow...

I will not stop advocating, for my fellow Tenno... Who are still suffering through the same as well.
We all lift together.
Well then...
Let's 'lift this sledge together'.

In other words; give people an equal opportunity, should they also decide, to put a lot of work into this.

I haven't been really farming him myself, lately I only log on for events, nightwave challenges or some odd task here and there. So I can't really comment too much on his spawn rate. Seen him 3x so far, every single time he dropped a trash elemental mod. For a rare boss encounter that's meant to feel special his drop table is just horrible, honestly. I don't mind that his spawn rate is kinda low, but the fact that most times you meet him he ends up dropping trash mods just feels really bad. I'll probably end up buying the weapon for plat in the end.
