Warframe Partner and Fansite Programs: A New Chapter

This is very interesting, and it will be equally interesting to see how all this unfolds. all eyes are on you DE, and a certain former partner. I'm glad that there is an email system where we can report any bad behaviour, I feel like if a certain former partner carries on the way he has been, that email will be getting used, A LOT.

For many years we have featured Fan Artists in a variety of ways to support their art and talent — that isn’t changing, and will not tie into the Creator Program. Instead, the Creator Program will offer tools and resources for artists (and other Creators) to build their online presence and communities.

So excited for this!!! maybe access to some 3D models so I can make some crazy S#&$ for you guys

Seems an awfully convoluted way to remove Rob.
I guess you guys didn't want to be a victim of his signature move; calling people who do something so egregious as let's say disagree with him, homophobic.

I hope you guys will enforce the rules this time around fairly and evenly, the current/old partner program absolutely stunk of bias and favouritism on DE's part.

I guess that's where the "fun" begins, because if that's DE's way of removing him, but won't say it outright, then he's free to reapply. Which means these possible outcomes:

  1. AGGP applies and gets denied entry - They've only postponed the end result, which is AGGP playing his minority card for application failure instead of partnership termination;
  2. AGGP succeeds and becomes a Creator.

For the record I do think the latter is fine if AGGP returns with humility and good values. It'd be pretty funny of him to think that after this huge charade he could just return to DE's warm embrace with the same attitude. However after he gets a second chance per DE's own benevolence, I do hope they listen (and investigate, to rule out fake toxic reports against AGGP before he commits mistakes) to any reports about that Creator's attitude and enact merciless action on him as they have with plenty of other partners.

As for me, I'm still waiting. With hopeful skepticism. I do hope DE follows their own rules this time. I can forgive a bit of slyness and quick-thinking, I even admire it most of the time - but to raise this big a ruckus and then go back to the old ways of nepotism and favoritism is something truly muddy and nasty. Specially for a company like DE.

I have over 200 but stopped hunting them years ago. Why? Because if you want to earn a lot of these glyphs without spending your entire day on Twitch/Mixer/Youtube, you need to AFK stream chat with a third party program, win giveaways (lol), or open up your wallet and buy subscriptions. Glyphs are cosmetics like anything else, and my opinion is that when a Glyph is added to the game, it should be free for anyone to use.

Aww, so u guys making quasars glyph global? Dope! 😜

Gonna be honest here, I really hope this isn't "a full rewrite of the rules of the partner/content creator program just so that one terrible individual is no longer technically breaking the rules!"

That would be disgustingly transparent if they make it through to the program again and I don't think anyone would have much respect for the company doing that.

The partner program itself wasn't a problem, it was the favoritism and the straight up ignoring bad behavior that was the problem. In other words DE itself is the problem, history will probably repeat itself and there will be more issues to come. And yes I am talking about a certain partner who was spewing his toxicity for year and years and even insulted his own fans over completely trivial stuff like what they think about new content. But he never got banned due to personal relationship with some of the employees at DE or is it because of his sexual orientation, guess we will never know. On the other hand someone got cancelled by DE for just a retweet of something that was not entirely politically correct. Now that I said all this go ahead and remove it from discussion.

So the new standard is being casual and not caring about the actual game but creating something inspired by that? Why do i always feel like that warframe can never evolve into the ultimate scifi rpg/action game that it should be and  every experienced player desires 😞

Honestly, I don’t know if this make things worst or better. With old system we know what is wrong. And now brand new program hope for people sick of toxic creators. I just give up on following any content creator because be again disappointed how things end up. Nope DE thanks for me this doesn’t change a thing in a way I looking on you and any of your partner programs. Unless you make a site where will be publicly accessible reports and your answer on it.

We all know from the past how this will end. Personal favoritsm and personal benefits including Partners and DE-Buddies will still exist because running a business and private life wont be separated clearly and transparant. The double standards are still strong with you guys. Sadly.

@[DE]Taylor I like to write stories for fun, to hone my writing skills, and to be more creative (have a different day job), and I also write about my fan suggestions (which you can see in my forum activity). Is this kind of "content creation" something that is considered in the new Creator Program?

I'll be interested in DE's stance on this as well. DE and Warframe have always prioritized fan content creators that created art and videos (and sometimes music), and those looped into specific platforms. For those of us who created fan content literature (writing), support, recognition, even finding an audience was always scarce. Whether I ever have the time or the desire to go back to creating fan content, I do hope that writers in the Warframe community can be included in this new big tent (without having to always have a visual component included in their work).

2020 industry standard policies made with respect to burnout and conduct.

Not to poop the party, I know it is a safe line for general corporate talk and it is fine (even though it is very vague), but speaking about professionalism:

  • DE hired an artist for deluxe skins that has an extensive portfolio of really kinky gay WF-porn and now they are heavily promoting artist's brand on devstreams. And I wonder if "rule 34" artists will be eligible for this program as well in that case.
  • General tone of panic responses to issues, Steve's lack of filter, devstreams - you name it
  • Being cocky and flexing in front of other developers ("we rename warframes to javelins" disaster) and failing to do a proper first impression of their own projects on release several times in a row.
  • Still having troubles to give players a reliable timeframe of content release, disrupting not only player's habits and expectation, but also content creators' work coherence, leading to a drop in views and in general interest to the creator and the game itself.

So yeah.

So yeah.

On that first point... DC Comics hired an artist for Green Arrow a couple years back who was/is known for his, uhhhh... specific Rule 34 art/comics. And Babs Tarr (who did Batgirl for a while) has some stuff that skirts the line of SFW and NSFW. Pretty sure there’s some gamedev people who fall under that umbrella, too. And to say nothing of some comic cover artists who've done plenty of erotic content, fan art or original (i.e. Stjepan Stejic and his wife).

So I’d say drawing some Rule 34 -of clearly adult in age and appearance characters (though this didn't stop Rebecca Sugar)- isn’t a “career killer” like it used to be, so long as you keep it separate from your public persona. */Devil’s Advocate*

I really love this whole issue of partner renewal, and even more so that when you are a partner they give you exclusive information weekly, DE are really putting the batteries and doing things right from the mainline this year have done the things well (scarlet spear and the previous updates were a disaster, the only decent update we had last year was the jovian concord, and I say decent is because the boss was incredibly easy, hopefully with the new difficulty they will improve it), if they continue so really the great potential of warframe will finally be exploited, god the hype comes back to me !!!!

this generally seems like the right move

i am hoping you know better and readd most of the old partners including but not limited to: see profile pic

edit: a lot of people outside the forums are painting this as an opportunity for DE to wipe away any and all controversy scott free as well as a chance to get rid of creators they dont like, i would like you to prove them wrong

the only suggestions that DE will add from partners is the suggestions that they love. for exemple, if a partner makes a suggestion for the game that would be beneficial to the game/players, but that the devs don't like, they won't ever put it in. or if they're just too lazy to do.

At the end of the day this game is still DE's game. So they shouldnt have to implement every single suggestion everyone makes. I have seen DE implement quite a few things that were requested by YouTubers, so yes they do listen, but its their game their choice
