The Seven Crimes of Kullervo: Hotfix 33.5.3

Launcher Fixes:
Yesterday’s hotfix reverted updates to the Launcher that were released with The Seven Crimes of Kullervo as they were causing several issues - we have more follow-up fixes to further address those related issues:

  • Fixes towards crash on game startup with the new Upscaling options enabled.
  • Fixes towards Steam Deck crashing on startup and after changing display settings.

If you are still experiencing issues where the Launcher refuses to start, regrettably some manual action may be required. If you are not confident with your ability to work with files on your computer, the safest route is to simply reinstall Warframe. If you are willing to be a little more technical, follow these steps:

  • Find the Warframe Launcher’s files (these are examples, your specific location may be different depending where you choose to install the game)
    • Windows Standalone clients:  %localappdata%\Warframe\Downloaded\Public\Tools\CEF3_1\V5\
    • Steam clients: C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\Steamapps\Common\Warframe\Tools\CEF3_1\V5\
    • Epic clients: C:\Program Files (x86)\Epic Games\Warframe\Downloaded\Public\Tools\CEF3_1\V5\
  • Download icudtl.zip from our website: https://content.warframe.com/Tools/CEF3_1/V5/icudtl.zip
  • Unzip icudtl.zip and put icudtl.dat into the  “V5” folder that you found in step 1  (icudtl.dat, 10424816 bytes, CRC 1E8E24D9)
  • Run the Warframe Launcher

Either reinstalling the game or manually delivering the missing resource should allow the Launcher to function normally again and update the game. If you are crashing after clicking the “Play!” button, then, please report your WAR-# from the crash reporter so that we can diagnose further.

We will continue to watch for other launcher related issues. Thank you!

Fixed:

  • Fixed moving in slow motion after interacting with ally slowing effects (like Vauban’s Vortex and/or Zephyr’s Tornado) while Overguard is active.
    • This was particularly prevalent with Rhino (Iron Skin), Frost (with the Icy Avalanche Augment Mod), Kullervo (Recompense), and Atlas (Rumbled Augment Mod) as their abilities grant Overguard.
  • Fixed several issues with Warframe Overguard reducing the effectiveness of the following supportive abilities/effects:
    • Fixed Gara’s Splinter Storm damage reduction being capped at 50% instead of the intended 90%.
    • Fixed Trinity’s Blessing healing over time for a fixed amount instead of restoring the full intended amount on cast.
    • Fixed Garuda’s Blood Altar not healing.
    • Fixed Mirage’s Eclipse damage reduction being capped at 50% instead of the intended 95%.
    • Fixed Hydroid’s Curative Undertow Augment Mod being capped at 100 Health.
    • Fixed Nezha’s Warding Halo damage reduction being capped at 50% instead of the intended 90%.
    • Fixed Volt’s Capacitance Augment Mod (Discharge) being capped at 250 Shields and not granting Overshields.
    • Fixed Baruuk’s Desolate Hands damage reduction being capped at 50% instead of the intended 90%.
    • Fixed Harrow’s Penance heal being capped at 50 health/s.
    • Fixed Equinox’ Mend & Maim heal being capped at 500 Health over 5 seconds.
    • Fixed Sancti Magistar’s heal being capped at 500 Health over 5 seconds.
    • Fixed Vazarin’s Protective Sling capping at 500 Health over 5 seconds and not providing damage immunity.
  • More fixes towards the Strun Prime Incarnon not refilling its magazine when transforming from their Incarnon Form to base.
  • Fixed FOV randomly resetting after certain Duviri objectives.
  • Fixed challenge descriptions appearing as a file path for the following Incarnon Geneses weapons:
    • Braton (all variants) Evolution IV
    • Furax’s (all variants) Evolution IV
    • Ceramic Dagger’s Evolution IV
    • Dual Ichor’s Evolution IV
    • Sibear’s Evolution IV
    • Miter’s Evolution IV
    • Known (fix to come): Felarx’ Evolution V
  • Fixed the “Kill X enemies with this weapon’s Incarnon Form” Incarnon challenge description specifying “Eximus enemies” instead of just “enemies”.
  • Fixed issues with Recover the Paragrimm’s Tomes objective not clearing once completed.
  • Fixed the chest VFX staying in its “locked” state (red VFX instead of blue) after defeating Limunus in Duviri cave objectives.
  • Fixed the pause menu UI disappearing when transitioning from the Undercroft to the Duviri Landscape.
    • Also fixed a related issue on Host migration where players would get stuck with a black screen if the pause menu was open upon transitioning.
  • Fixed a crash in the Assemble the Shrine objective in Duviri.
  • More fixes towards offset issues with the Drifter Saita Prime Suit.
  • Fixed being unable to chat link Ueymag.
  • Fixed crash related to Corrosive procs.
  • Fixed crash related to Kullervo fight after Host migration.

Any chance that Warframe overguard could be changed a bit? Or at the very least specifically on Kullervo as despite the fact that he can get 5000 of it, its completely worthless as it has no resistances, does not benefit from armor as far as I'm aware and doesn't benefit from adaptation. In terms of EHP it is pitiful to say the least and it really hurts Kullervo's performance when that is his primary form of defense. In it's current state it almost makes his 2 feel entirely worthless.

Honestly Kullervo should get Overguard gating and have Adaptation work on it like how it does on shields.

When his Overguard runs out he should go invulnerable for a second. It's actually possible for Kullervo to get oneshot from 100-0 by a high enough level enemy through his Overguard.

how did you ever ship the overguard changes without this fix? It's honestly inconceivable to me

Soooooooo...

When are uncapping Kullervo's Overguard?
You'd think having no shields would be enough of a reason, but if he can't benefit from Armor/Damage Reduction due to how Overguard works...

... why would I use it? It's far more effective to AVOID Overguard and just stick to Armor/Damage Reduction to stay alive! (Not that it's ideal)

C'mon DE... this probably isn't even a difficult fix, don't leave this lying around for another few years until one abstract day you decide to fix it.
We're not asking miracles here.

Is Kullervos 2nd abbility being worked on? Like adding a gate or being able to work with armor and damage reduction?

Maybe you guys will fix the Cinta's main blueprint not being given to players that it dropped for after exiting Duviri next. Glad to see progress on the other things is being made, though.

Hi ToravisuXIII! I am not seeing any irregularities with the Cinta Blueprint pickups, did you earn a decree after picking up the blueprint to save your inventory?
