Why don’t the grineer smash?

So the grineer were at one point genetically stable, then a short time after the fall the queens appeared. Then the queens began cloning themselves as well. Why didn’t the grineer attempt normal human reproduction 1000 years ago when this was all happening.

That assumes that they can. We have no idea what body parts the Orokin allowed them to keep, or what body parts they still have now

The orokin don’t know that guard dogs aren’t marsupials why would they reproductively cut off their workforce during a resource crunch?

Even if they lack the genitals, they could still manually mix genetics instead of cloning.  Lame answer; conditioning.

Exactly, why wouldn’t they attempt to fix their genes little by little until they reached a functioning state. Why wouldn’t they attempt to improve themselves with Dax genes or why didn’t they pluck some hair from the 26 million registered Tenno she tried to body snatch and make void grineer?

Because they don't see them as "workforce". They see them as "biological machines". Remember that Orokin read the phrase "armed Grineer" in the same way we read the phrase "armed roombas"

So as a symbol of American Exceptionalism?

How could they attempt normal human reproduction if they aren't even human to begin with? They are bioengineered workers, mass produced every day.

I feel like you didn’t read previous posts… or play the game really, even a couple grineer talk about reproduction, I think Vor talks about it explicitly being his goal.

Which is what Tyl Regor was probably trying to do (cure clone rot) until some thoughtless meat puppets came along and smashed his work up 🙄🤭

"Each one is genetically defective to some degree, their genome both originally stunted by their creators, and further damaged by the invasive cloning procedures they themselves have been using to birth each generation in the centuries after the fall of the Orokin. As a result, they have a life cycle that is limited to only a fraction of a normal human lifespan and are prone to a host of degenerative disorders such as decaying limbs and skin or reduced intelligence. They compensate for this by the widespread use of crude cybernetic prosthetics and robust augmentations."

What kind of reproductive abilities do you imagine, if their limbs start rotting off before their "fraction of a normal human lifespan" expires?

they were a slave class under the Orokin, slaves aren't allowed to bow-chicka-wow-wow because the empire would rather not waste resources raising slave babies. literally every culture that had slaves never let them reproduce, and if they did, and the masters found out, the baby would be killed. in the case of the Grineer though, the Orokin simply made sure all Grineer were sterile at birth, because they had the technology to do that.

after the collapse, the reason is probably because - no joke - their genitals rot off! the biological decay from excessive cloning, Cloning Decay, affects their entire body, they end up needing prosthetic limbs, and probably artificial life support systems as well if their lungs, heart etc are beyond repair. it's mentioned that many wear masks to show loyalty to the queens, but I reckon it's also to hide Grineer who have disfigured faces as well.

in short, Grineer are the only race less likely to bang than the Sentients, who waged an entire war because of it; which is saying something lol.

Even if they had the bits, the Grineer are already so degenerated, any offspring would have the degeneration defects like, doubled. Orokin coulda engineered the Grineer in suchaway that classic reproduction would be impossible, bit like mules being unable to reproduce. Or just genetic engineered the bits away.

There was a point when their limbs didn’t fall off and they had females though.

Europe had a cool 2 millennia of slavery outside of Britain and their slaves reproduced, it’s how they fielded a majority of their army.
