It was a very awful event, you were forced to run the same missions: First, heading top a cave to gather something, then putting that something into a grineer machine and defend it for a few mins (in this process you can put consumables to increase the mission difficulty), then you put that stuff into a drone to do a escort mission and then you need to kill stuff. If you were smart, you'll enhance the mission with the consumable items (2 different items, 4 each to reach max level), one of them spawns an awfully recolored Lephantis called "Hemocyte" that is probably one of the worst recolor offenders in the entire game. You kill it 4 times if you used the 4 items for it and that's it, you gain standing and nothing else, not even Cetus standing AFAIK, only Special Vendor standing (aka Nakak) and you need to return to Cetus everytime to do the bounty again. I coudln't believe when people argue in favor of that rather than running Deimos bounties (any bounty) with the regualr rewards to on top of that getting points passivelly for the Special Vendor (Daugther). Was an awful grind (the prices were trully absurd) and the mission was a slog, tied to the most awful Cetus bounties of all. ANd I'm not even mention how S#&$ it was fishing and minning. The Hemocyte: Sounds like something I'd do a handful of times for the more unique rewards from the event, and then quit doing it as fast as possible. Definitely sounds unfun. I won't do something just because it's a limited time event, if I really don't enjoy it. I could have grinded out a lot of arcanes I'm behind on during Orphix Venom, but to have an efficient run you basically needed to go an hour every time. It was beyond tedious and boring. I get the same cave everytime and mixer location. Just cause forma are in the shop im not grinding that crap. By the end of the last one on our discord there was a 4 man team with 2 people doing 5 Plague Star runs and the other 2 in the same group doing an eidolon 5x3 and meeting up at the boil to drop the arcane loot. To each their own, but Lephantis is a clunky boss and Plague Star somehow made it even more clunky. In my opinion, Plague Star was tolerable. DE has done much better events in the past, so I'd rather have them bring back a good one. The majority of the people who want Plague Star to return only want it to return because they want the Forma. But you can already make 365 Forma a year in the Foundry, and you can do it while playing content you actually enjoy rather than grinding a clunky event... Haven't we also been hearing rumors or something about if they did bring it back, they would remove the forma? Rebore Posted May 1, 2021 Share Posted May 1, 2021 Come on now, with PS gone DE will make even more money from players buying forma bundles than they already are when I know people that have spent 50k+ plat alone just on forma to forma everything, not that even a fraction of the player base would do that but if DE would and seem to have taken away the only reliable way to farm forma for the exceeding mass of needed forma for the game it would mean more time spent playing the game and more plat spent on bundles.
